DioLaz Canada Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing Machine – Limited Warranty Policy

Product Description: The DioLaz Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing Machine (Health Canada License No. 114258) is a Class III medical laser device for skin resurfacing and scar treatment. It features a sealed CO2 laser tube and multiple interchangeable handpieces for various treatment modes (fractional scanner, surgical cutting handpiece, gynecological treatment probe, etc.). This warranty covers the core console and all standard accessories provided with the fractional CO2 laser system.

Warranty Term: 3 years from the date of original purchase, covering the entire Fractional CO2 Laser system (main laser unit and included handpieces/attachments).

Coverage Details: Within the 3-year period, DioLaz Canada will repair or replace any components of the Fractional CO2 Laser that fail due to manufacturing defects or workmanship issues, under normal use. Coverage includes:

  • Laser Tube and Optical System: The sealed CO2 laser tube (the source of the laser beam) is covered for defects or premature failure. The tube is a durable component expected to last well beyond the warranty under normal usage; if it were to fail or materially degrade in output significantly below specifications within the warranty period (and not due to misuse or normal wear from extremely heavy use), it will be replaced or recharged at no cost. Mirrors, lenses, and internal optical components are likewise covered for defects (e.g., coating failures, misalignments not caused by shock).

  • Handpieces and Attachments: The Fractional CO2 system includes several handpiece attachments (e.g., the scanner handpiece for fractional treatments, a focused handpiece for cutting, and a gynecological treatment handpiece). All these included accessories are covered against functional defects and malfunctions for 3 years. For example, if the fractional scanner mechanism (with its moving mirrors/optics) malfunctions due to a manufacturing issue, or the surgical handpiece’s aiming beam alignment is off due to a defect, we will repair/replace it. Consumable parts of handpieces: Any consumable elements in these handpieces (for instance, if the gynecological probe has single-use disposable tips or the scanner has a protective lens window) are not covered for regular consumption, but are covered if a defect causes premature failure. The handpieces themselves are not considered disposable and are fully covered for defects.

  • Articulated Arm & Hardware: This laser uses an articulated arm delivery system. The entire arm assembly (joints, mirrors within, alignment) is covered — if a joint were to fail or the internal mirror system become misaligned due to a defect (and not external impact), it will be fixed. The touchscreen interface, electronic controls, cooling system (air cooling and internal water circulation for the tube), power supply, foot pedal, and safety interlocks are all covered.

  • Software/Firmware: Any control software on the device is covered as per general terms – bugs will be patched via updates. If software issues cause the device to malfunction, we will resolve them under warranty.

  • Calibration and Performance: If during the warranty, the device output significantly drifts outside of specifications due to an internal component defect (not due to lack of user calibration or normal drift), we will recalibrate the system at no charge. (Regular calibration needs as recommended in the manual should be performed by the user or during service visits; those routine calibrations are not “repairs” but part of normal maintenance. However, any resulting issue from a defective calibration mechanism or software is covered.)

Consumables Note: The CO2 laser tube, while covered for defects, is considered a consumable in the sense that it has a finite life (typically many years). Gradual reduction in power after extensive use is expected and not considered a defect unless it falls below acceptable ranges early. Likewise, the protective optics (windows, filters) may get clouded over time with heavy use; cleaning is maintenance, but if they have a defect in coating causing abnormal early degradation, that is covered. Nozzle tips or disposable sterile tips for the gynecological handpiece (if applicable) are consumables and not covered beyond initial quality at delivery.

Exclusions Specific to CO2 Laser: In addition to the general exclusions, particular situations not covered would include:

  • Damage to the articulated arm or optics due to dropping or hitting the arm (user-inflicted mechanical damage).

  • Burning out of the laser tube due to operating the device without proper cooling or beyond recommended duty cycle (misuse).

  • Damage or misalignment caused by attempting to service or align the laser yourself or by non-authorized personnel (this is a delicate optical system – unauthorized tampering voids coverage).

  • Cosmetic issues like slight discoloration of the device exterior due to heat over time, which do not affect function.

  • Safety Note: Always follow installation requirements for ventilation and room safety (as provided in our guidelines). Damage arising from improper installation environment (e.g., inadequate ventilation leading to overheating) would not be covered.

Warranty Service Process: If your Fractional CO2 Laser requires service, contact us as per the general instructions. Given the size and precision of this system, we may dispatch an authorized laser technician for on-site repair if feasible, or we may arrange insured freight shipping to our central facility. We maintain loaner or demo units that might be offered (subject to availability) if a repair is expected to take an extended time, to minimize disruption to your clinic – this courtesy is not guaranteed but we will strive to support your business continuity. All other terms (free parts/labor/shipping) per the general policy apply. We will calibrate and test the laser thoroughly before returning it to you.

Post-Warranty Support: After 3 years, we continue to offer full service on the CO2 laser on a paid basis. We ensure parts are available (laser tubes, arm components, electronics, etc.) for at least 10 years, so your device can be maintained. Service contracts or per-incident repairs can be arranged via our support team (these are outside the scope of the warranty policy, but be assured of our long-term commitment).

All other general terms, limitations of liability, and disclaimers stated in the “General Warranty Terms” section above apply to the Fractional CO2 Laser. This warranty ensures that you can invest in the DioLaz Fractional CO2 system with confidence in its quality and our support.
